CHAPTER OBJECTIVES

Since 1950, the Association of the United States Army has worked to support all aspects of national security while advancing the interests of America’s Army and the men and women who serve. AUSA provides numerous Professional Development opportunities at a variety of events both local and national. Objectives for the Fort Leonard Wood / Mid-Missouri Chapter of AUSA include:

 

  • Provide support to soldiers and their families
  • Provide and support activities that benefit Chapter membership and the Fort Leonard Wood/Waynesville/St. Robert, Rolla and Lebanon communities.
  • Increase individual and corporate community involvement in Chapter activities
  • Establish a find to support injured Service members and their families
  • Increase the support for active duty and reserve component leadership
  • Increase individual and corporate membership
  • Support AUSA’s professional and educational mission
  • Support attendance at AUSA annual meeting
  • Recognize individuals who provide outstanding service to our Chapter and Fort Leonard Wood with the COL Edward A. Owsley Superior Service Award
  • Support 5th Region with attendance at annual regional meetings
  • Sponsor Corporate Appreciation Luncheon FLW
  • Support area Chambers of Commerce through military affairs committees
  • Recognize outstanding Service members at quarterly awards ceremony
  • Plan and organize annual FLW appreciation day at St. Louis Cardinals stadium
